Play Centre at Kincumber Indoor Sports

With its huge range of toys, inflatables, cubbies and ride-ons all located in one large open space, supervision is made so much easier at this venue! Parents can keep an eye on young children in this fully netted play space while enjoying a cappuccino at the cafe!

Pulse Climbing at West Gosford

Ideal for tweens and teens, this indoor bouldering gym and rockclimbing facility provides a fun space for kids to hang, to get active and to test themselves – mentally and physically. For those with younger kids, children as young as five are welcome to take to the walls and try out one of the basic beginner climbs!

Kidsworld Play Centre at Impact, Erina

This rainy-day wonderland has TWO huge play areas! The first, a double-story labyrinth boasting a ball pitt, flying fox, balance beam and a long double slide perfect for the slightly bigger kids and the second, a huge, fully-fenced toddler zone with its own boat-shaped ball pitt, slippery dips and those favourite Little Tikes cars! The adult area is pretty appealing too, with large couches, table seating and a great cafe with an extensive menu for grown ups and kids alike.

The Central Coast Marine Discovery Centre, Terrigal

UPDATE: The Marine Discovery Centre will reopen following its renovations in September 2020.

If you’re all ‘soft played’ out, this hidden gem is a great alternative way to keep the kids entertained when the weather is miserable. During your visit, little ones will get to see a Port Jackson shark, touch a starfish, feel coral, play with cuttlefish bones and hold iridescent paua shells up to the sunlight. This is a fun, hands-on experience your kids will love!

Monkey Mania, Gosford

This isn’t just any old soft play centre! Not only does Monkey Mania have three levels of obstacle related fun, the wind activated foam ball arena adds an extra layer of excitement – we’ve even seen adults go a bit wild in there! For the real littlies, there’s a designated space for them to escape to when the place is heaving with boisterous older children in school holidays, but it’s really best suited to the 1-12 age group.

Open every day, The Art Barn at Gosford makes a fun indoor alternative to play centres for little tots on those wet weather days! Little ones can choose from a huge selection of figurines, from Disney characters and trucks to super heroes and fairies. With paintings, sculptures and photography from local and international artists, there’s a lot to inspire the adults too! If you’re visualising scrambling around a dark room trying to find a locked door, you’re wrong. There’s nothing spooky about this experience! The aim of this family friendly game is (seemingly) simple: find the lost item – be it a teddy or Game Boy – somewhere within the room. But where is it? It’s not as easy as looking under the bed!
