Toot toot Thomas fans – we have great news! Did you know that The Central Coast Steam Model Co-op in Narara run monthly train ride days?

After a long absence due to Covid, followed by several floods that covered much of the tracks with deep sand, Central Coast families have been invited back to enjoy the Steam Model Co-op’s awesomely fun little railway expeditions.

When you visit you’ll get to climb aboard a miniature train and ride the tracks. Some of the engines run on steam, some battery-powered electric motors, and others on small internal combustion engines. They’re all driven and owned by lovely volunteers.

If you want to make a day of it, take a picnic with you or grab a sausage sanga from the charity BBQ.

These fun days out are oh-so-popular and we can’t wait to jump aboard!

When: First Saturday of every month, 11am – 4pm.
Where: Showground Rd, Narara (opposite Bellbowrie Ave).
Cost: $2.50 per ride. Free for kids aged 2 and under with a paying adult.
Important Tip: Everyone who wants to ride the train must have on enclosed shoes.

While you’re in the area, why not check out one of Narara’s many parks and playgrounds; Treeline Close Playground, Narara Valley Precinct Park, Gavenlock Oval Park, or Goonak Parade Playground?
