The Bronzewing Park in Erina was recently given a makeover.

A new play structure has replaced the original  frame and the play area has been extended with the addition of a swing set (with bucket baby swing and regular swing).

If you’re a frequenter of playgrounds this space might give you a case of de ja vue, as it’s very similar to Terrigal’s newly renovated Drummer Parry Park.

The beautiful butterfly-emblazoned play structure includes 2 green two slippery dips, a periscope, climbing ladder and mushroom stools.

The playground area is lined with soft-fall rubber (everyone cheer! Wahoo for no mulch) and surrounded by a little brick wall that kids love balancing on. There’s no shade, but surrounding trees cast shade over the equipment at times throughout the day. The playground is partly fenced off from the road and sunken down, so we felt our kids were in a safe zone away from traffic.

The mini bike/scooter track is perfect for tots just learning to ride and is shaped like a snake. Look closely and you’ll see it.

A picnic bench under the trees makes a nice quiet and shady spot for a bite of lunch.
