There’s something truly special about outdoor theatre productions! And we couldn’t think of a more perfect production to see in the Royal Botanic Gardens than “Wind in the Willows”. This classic tale is one that has been told for countless generations, and now The Australian Shakespeare Company are bringing Kenneth Grahame’s story of life on the riverbank to Sydney’s stunning Royal Botanic Garden from 5 to 28 January 2024.

The Australian Shakespeare Company’s “Wind in the Willows” is a fabulous show for kids!

This critically acclaimed theatre production delivers music, songs and interactive elements that induce laughs in audiences young and old.

Join Ratty, Mole, Badger, Otter, Portly, and of course, Mr Toad and Head Chief Rabbit as they bring these immortal characters to life and encourage kids to join in the action, to scream out loud, sing along and become part of the adventure.

This is an immersive wandering production that moves about the Gardens and uses the garden to tell the story by way of boats on the lake, characters hiding behind trees and bounding across the lawns.

This event is perfect for families with young kids as there is no seating. This is a picnic seating event, and patrons are welcome to bring food, drinks and picnic blankets to enjoy this theatre show.
