Forget quiet kitchens, careful measuring and perfectly plated meals – Signor Baffo is serving up silliness, slapstick and flour-covered fun these winter school holidays.

This laugh-out-loud interactive kids’ show is coming to Laycock Street Community Theatre, and if your family loves physical comedy, messy mayhem, pies-in-the-face humour and the kind of chaos that is thankfully not happening in your own kitchen, this one’s for you.

Winner of the Overall Best Kids & Family Award at Adelaide Fringe 2025, Signor Baffo is a fast-paced, family-friendly theatre show designed for children aged 3+ and their grown-ups.

Here's the premise: the restaurant is about to open, but there’s one very big problem: the head chef is missing. That leaves Signor Baffo in charge, and let’s just say things do not go smoothly.

With a long to-do list to complete before his boss returns, Signor Baffo calls on some young helpers from the audience – kitting them out in mini chef whites, aprons and stick-on moustaches – before launching into a whirlwind of juggling, unicycling, acrobatics, funny magic tricks and wonderfully ridiculous kitchen games.

Along the way, Signor Baffo will try to work out how to mix meatballs with spaghetti... how to make a chicken lay an egg... And how to make a sausage roll.

If you love the humour of Monty Python and think your kids would absolutely lose it over cream pie faces, spaghetti juggling and chaotic kitchen comedy, this one’s for you.

Signor Baffo is packed with generous helpings of mischief, adventure and theatrical nonsense. It’s silly. It’s messy. It’s interactive. And best of all, you won’t be the one cleaning up afterwards.
