Looking for an activity you can do with your girls – instead of always watching from the sidelines? Terrigal Physie offers fun, family-focused dance classes for toddlers, kids and mums. And guess what: your first week is FREE!
If you’ve got a little one who loves to move, a school-aged child keen to try something new, or you’re a mum who wouldn’t mind a fun, feel-good way to get active too, Terrigal Physie is a lovely option to pop on your radar.
Classes are welcoming, inclusive and open to all ages and abilities – you don’t need any dance or physie experience to join in. Some kids bounce in and others take a few weeks to warm up, and that’s all part of it. The focus is on having a go, building confidence and enjoying the movement.
Another big tick for families? It’s genuinely affordable. Terrigal Physie works hard to keep costs low so more families can take part, and they accept both Active Kids and Creative Kids vouchers.
Here’s what you can expect to pay:
• Preschoolers: $60 per term for unlimited classes!
• Kids aged 5–adults: from $85 per term.
Phenomenal right!? That’s some of the best value we’ve seen for a weekly activity! And remember: new members also get your first week free, so you can try it out with no pressure.

So what exactly is physie?
Short for physical culture, physie is a fun mix of dance and sport. Think elements of jazz, hip hop, ballet and contemporary, all choreographed to modern music. It helps build strength, coordination, flexibility and posture – without the pressure of traditional sport.
Physie is a great option for kids who aren’t drawn to team sports, or who prefer creative movement over competitive games. It’s low-impact, confidence-boosting and social – with plenty of new friendships formed along the way.
At Terrigal Physie, there are individual and team competitions held throughout the year. They aren't compulsory if competing isn't your thing, but it's always fun to have a go, show off your new skills and encourage your daughter to do the same.
If you’re looking for a positive, affordable activity the whole family can enjoy, this is a great one to try.

What mums say about Terrigal Physie
Mums rave about Terrigal Physie too – check out their fab reviews here. We particularly love this one below because it shows what a special and beneficial activity it is to do as a family.
"Too much to love about 'our physie'. The fact that my daughter and I have a common sport that we love and can support each other at. The friendships she has developed, the friendships I have developed. The fun and laughs at every lesson. The exercise that I actually ENJOY. Lots of things to love." – Sue
