Top Fun for Kids and Teens
Got little tackers or teens? Look for these areas to keep them well entertained all night long.
MMAD Stage: Central Coast charity group Musicians Making a Difference (MMAD) and Central Coast Council’s Youth Services team are hosting workshops for young, inspiring creatives. These fun, interactive workshops are aimed at people aged 14-24 and include beat-making, songwriting and DJing. They’re also hosting jam and open mic sessions – you can BYO instrument or borrow one of theirs. MMAD is a wonderful Australian charity (based on the Central Coast) that transforms young lives through music.
Wyong Baptist Church Kidz Zone: Kids can enjoy a bunch of fun, FREE activities and get rid of some excess energy, while adults give their feet a rest at this neat little breakout zone (located on Rankens Court).
Rock Wall: Got teenagers too cool for the Kidz Zone? Get them climbing the Rockwall on Bakers Lane!
Laneway Art: Think you’ve got what it takes to be a tightrope walker? Test your skills – safely – on Love Lanes’ 3D tightrope over a cityscape! It’s located in the alleyway connecting Alison Rd to Bakers Lane.
Village Central Circus Precinct Zone: Have dreams of running away with the circus? The circus precinct is the space to hone your skills by watching aerial performances from the talented Roundabout Circus team (performing every hour on the hour)!
Wyong Fire and Rescue: Little ones go wild for fire trucks and at this year’s Love Lanes they can get up close and personal and explore a real fire truck themselves, plus, meet with the real firemen of the Wyong Fire and Rescue team: squeal!
Rocking the Senses: This fabulous group are bringing their mobile sensory room to Love Lanes this year. The room includes lights, music, swings and bean bags, and is a safe, calming space for autistic and special needs children.
Here’s where to head for live music, food and shopping
Bendigo Bank’s Main Stage: Take in a range of performances from national artists. The tunes kick off at 4pm with Milana St Clair, followed by Ruby and The Groovy Doobies, Micra, Sesame Girl and Velvet Trip. Headliner act Becca Hatch will bring her soulful, electronic tunes to the stage at 8.15pm. Get there to see her popular hits “2560” and “Please U”.
Coastwide First National Chill Out Zone: To take in the main-stage acts, we recommend you nab a spot at Coastwide First National’s Chill Out Zone. Here, you’ll find plenty of bean bags, cushions, and seating, and it also makes the perfect space for a dance under the stars! Plus, grab a selfie at the Love Lanes photo booth and tee off in a putt-putt golf comp.
MADD Stage: Listen to live jams from emerging local talent. They’ll have jam, busking and open mic.
Chapman Lawn Entertainment: Come for free kid’s entertainment and Sirone’s woodfired pizza. Perfecto!
Grand Hotel Lane: Here, Woodblock Bar & Grill provides the food, Grand Hotel the drinks and multiple performers will be bringing the tunes. It’s a lot of fun and a great atmosphere.
Coastwide First National Lane: Head to the bustling Coastwide First National Lane where you’ll get to relish in street food from Wyong’s local favourites, shop ‘til you drop at some of the retail stalls and take a romantic stroll under the twinkling lights of the piazza.
