The Lions Park in Woy Woy is a small playground with a BIG personality! Set amidst the panoramic views of Brisbane Water, this park is perfectly placed to keep you and your little ones happy for hours.
The playground is set upon soft-fall bark, and has cute play equipment including a small pirate ship climbing frame with a tunnel slippery dip and manageable stairs for the younger children. There’s also a toddler swing, a net swing (so Mums and Dads can have a turn!) and a mini roundabout that doubles as a climbing net.
The park is met with a cycle and stroller path that takes you along the water’s edge, to Fisherman’s Wharf in just fifteen minutes, making this an ideal location for a morning walk with your Mother’s Group friends or a Saturday morning activity with the family. There’s plenty of seating available, as well as undercover picnic benches that are perfectly positioned next to the gas BBQs, which overlook the water. This would make an AWESOME venue for a kid’s birthday party or family get together!
For the avid fishermen and women among us, there is also a boat ramp and two gutting stations in case you are planning to catch your lunch! With plenty of flat, grassy space this is the perfect spot to throw down a picnic rug and watch the kids play while you sit back and take in yet another serene backdrop that the Central Coast has to offer.
The Lions Park, Woy Woy
Age group: Toddlers, preschoolers, and young children.
Fencing: No, but the play equipment is set back from the car park. Just be mindful as the park is surrounded by water.
Facilities: Children’s playground, undercover picnic tables, lots of bench seating, water bubbler, gutting station, BBQs, cycle/stroller path.
Toilets: Yes, including disabled facilities.
Tips: There is a fair bit of shade from the trees but you will need sunscreen for the play area. The Happy Buddha Bistro at Woy Woy Bowling Club is open Tuesday to Sunday for lunch from midday but if you want a coffee, you could take the walk to Fisherman’s Wharf and grab one before heading back to the Lions Park for a play.

Location: Accessible from N Burge Road, Woy Woy (opposite Woy Woy Bowling Club).
