Summer’s on the way, Coasties – which means beach days, backyard pools and hours of splashy fun. Get ahead of the season and enrol your babies, tots and kids in Learn to Swim lessons at One by Mingara. They’ll become confident, capable and safe in (and around) the water and you’ll get peace of mind.
Plus, the thing we love about swim lessons at Mingara is the convenience it brings parents. Mum and dad, at the same venue you can hit the gym (yep, they have a creche), grab a coffee or lunch, or have a swim yourself. No more running here, there everywhere each day – park your car and do it all at the one venue.

One by Mingara is more than a pool – it’s a gym, a creche, a cafe and more!
Here’s why we recommend you enrol in Learn to Swim classes at One by Mingara:
- They have qualified, kid-loving instructors.
- Their Learn to Swim lessons teach solid technique and real-world water safety to babies (6 months+), toddlers, preschoolers and kids.
- Lessons run seven days a week (mornings, after school, and – hooray – weekends), so it’s simple to find a time that fits your family.
- They have a cafe, a gym, a creche – this is more than just a space for swimming lessons; One by Mingara will become your community and sanctuary. It’s a space for your kids and YOU to exercise, rest and learn.
- Their aquatic facility is brilliant: a heated 50m lap pool, leisure pool (with a lazy river), hydrotherapy pool and babies’ aqua play area – perfect for comfortable, confidence-building progression.
- With weekly lessons, your child will make steady progress all year long.
- They run school holiday classes too.

One by Mingara’s Learn to Swim lessons
One by Mingara’s Learn to Swim classes are held in their brilliant aquatic facility, which has a heated 50m lap pool, leisure pool (with a lazy river), hydrotherapy pool and babies’ aqua play area – perfect for comfortable, confidence-building progression.
Whether your child is blowing their first bubbles or refining freestyle, in One by Mingara’s Learn to Swim program they’ll feel supported and encouraged, and no doubt build a lifelong love of swimming.
The Learn to Swim pathway begins with Babies (6 months–2.5 years) and a parent in the water, focusing on floating, bubbles and wall push-offs. Then come the pre-school stages where they build on that confidence and increase the safety messages with entries/exits, roll-to-breathe and kicks with equipment. As skills grow, kids will progress to “rainbow arms”, breaststroke, butterfly kicks, treading water, 25m swims and rhythmic breathing (hello, pace clock!). Confident kids then glide into Mini Squad to polish starts/finishes, build stamina and work on their carnival tactics.

One by Mingara is more than just a pool for kids swimming lessons… it’s a facility that supports parent wellbeing too.
While your kids have their swim lesson, you can take a breather, move your body, or simply sit and enjoy a hot coffee – that’s a win-win. Visiting One by Mingara is easy (and truly enjoyable), so you’ll come for the swimming lessons and stay for the:
- Heated 50m lap pool, indoor 8-lane Olympic pool, leisure pool with lazy river, hydrotherapy pool and babies’ aqua play area – ideal in any weather.
- Cafe: serving coffee, smoothies, protein balls, sandwiches, salads and more. Make it a date with your little one or catch up with friends.
- Gym, track & field facility: get your workout in at the same venue – before or after your kid’s swimming lesson (no more driving all over town).
- Creche (for children aged 12 months to 10 years): they have a creche, so you – mum and dad – can use the gym and pool for your own work out, or simply drop by the cafe for some peace and quiet at the same time.
Enrol today to have your kids feeling confident and water-safe ahead of summer. It’s a life skill for them – and peace of mind for you.
