Calling all nature-loving families and adventure-seeking tots! We’ve uncovered a hidden gem just for you – the Kingfisher Reserve Playground!

You’ll find this playground fronting a quiet back street within Kingfisher Reserve – and just a hop skip jump from the banks of Lake Macquarie. It’s oh-so quiet and little known, making it a gorgeous haven for families seeking a more relaxed play area and outdoor fun.

The playground itself includes a play structure with monkey bars, a slippery dip, crawl-through tunnel, steering wheel and rickety bridge. There’s also a set of swings – one toddler and one adult seat – plus a see-saw and a single rocker for tiny tots. It’s a playground aimed at early walkers and toddlers. It’s vintage classic playground equipment that has been around for years and still delights the tiny tots.

For book lovers, a delightful little book library awaits.

The expansive green space invites little feet to run and explore, and makes the perfect backdrop for older kids to play hide ‘n’ seek.

We recommend you bring a picnic rug, some books and settle in for a gorgeous afternoon in the dappled sun.
