Eastcoast Beverages is throwing open both their orchard gates and factory doors, so you can experience a Day on the Farm on Sunday 9 June.

This third-generation, family owned fruit juice and spring water company is giving you a rare chance to join a tour and get a sneak peek of their full facility. Watch and learn how citrus is grown, squeezed and then bottled into fruit juice that’s then distributed to outlets across Australia.

Plus they’ve pulled together a tonne of local businesses, food trucks and entertainers to bring you a fun day out. There will be live music, burgers from The Hungry Traveller, wine from Fires Creek and the kids will be spoilt for fun with free face painting, a roving magician and circus-skills workshops from Party Chameleon and Switcharoo Circus.

Plus, you can pick sweet juicy oranges straight from the tree. Eastcoast staff will guide groups through their orchards every hour – there’s no charge for this; you simply pay for what you pick. And then get munching, juicing and slurping later. This year – should the weather play nicely – you’ll also be able to jump aboard a buggy and take a tour of the farm (tickets for this can be purchased on the day).

UPDATE 30 May 2019: Their Factory Tours are now sold out! Don’t miss out again next year – subscribe to Playing in Puddles’ newsletter, so you hear about them first.

Their much-loved factory tours are on again. The factory tour gives you a behind-the-scenes look at how Eastcoast’s locally grown oranges move from twig to factory to bottle to shop. You’ll see huge machines at work and many locals too. We did the tour last year and even Playing in Puddles’ littlest reviewers (then aged 2 and 4) loved getting this rare glimpse of the factory.
