A little bit cray cray, a little bit science class, That Science Gang is bringing poop emojis, toilet paper blowers, crazy string and a flushable toilet to Laycock Street Community Theatre’s stage this May to explain the human digestive system.
You Are A Doughnut‘s creators – Oesoph A. Gus and Dewey Dean (aka That Science Gang) – are biology teachers and absolute masters of informative comedy. Using singing, dancing and a heap of clowning, they explore the human digestive system – from table to toilet!
Kids will love the “toilet humour” and adults will love all the learning as the duo explain how our digestive organs work with the help of enzyme-powered ping pong balls, a rainbow collection of poop puppets and a bizarre poetry performance. All of this makes for a fast-paced, biological-musical-comedy that educates as much as it entertains.

Our Playing in Puddles family saw this show last year and it was absolutely hand-on-heart one of the best kids’ theatre shows we’ve seen. All of our tribe – from 2 to 40 – were thoroughly entertained for the full hour. It’s a show that elicits fits of laughter, disbelief, awe and pure joy from the audience.
Laycock Street Community Theatre has two performances occurring during the school day in term 2 – making this fabulous show available to school groups and homeschool families.
