There’s a sweet little secret tucked away in the backstreets of Terrigal.

Located on Wycombe Road and sitting back from the street, this hidden park has long flown under the radar. Nestled quietly beneath tall, mature trees and surrounded by peaceful bushland, this is the kind of spot you stumble across and instantly feel like you’ve uncovered a local treasure.

It got a total freshen-up two years ago and because it’s so quiet here, the play equipment still feels nice and new.

The upgraded playspace features a mini play structure with a double slide, rock-climbing wall, and shop-front for creative play. There’s a standard swing, baby swing and nest swing for group or inclusive play, plus a mini four-way see-saw and a flower rocker.

It’s all beautifully shaded and perfect for a quiet afternoon play. You won’t find big crowds or noisy traffic here – just a lovely little escape with plenty to explore.

This park’s perfect for a pit stop on the way to the beach or a peaceful nature-backed play away from the buzz.

Wycombe Road Playground, Terrigal

Ages: Toddlers and preschoolers.
Fenced: No, but the play equipment is positioned a long way back from the street.
Facilities: Picnic tables. No toilets sadly. No shade cloths, but the trees block the sun.
Tips: Soft-fall rubber is under the play equipment and mulch covers the remaining area, so enclosed shoes are best.
Parking: Wycombe Road is quite narrow and can be tricky to park on. Instead, park on Fairway Drive and walk up the pedestrian path between numbers 10 and 12 – it leads straight into the park.
Location: Opposite 35 Wycombe Rd, Terrigal.
