Are you a qualified early childhood Educator, childcare worker or nanny looking to take the next step in your career?

Coastwide Family Day Care is a community based, not-for-profit organisation providing home-based education and care to Central Coast families, and they’re looking for passionate and motivated childhood educators to join their network of quality family day care services!

We know a lot of Playing in Puddles’ readers work in the early childhood field, and we also know that finding work on the Coast can sometimes be super hard to come by – particularly if you’re looking for something with flexible hours, or that you can do from home with your own children.

That’s why when we heard that Coastwide Family Day Care was looking for new educators (across the Central Coast, Hunter New England, North Coast and Western NSW regions), we wanted to help spread the word – so we could find some perfect job matches for them and you.

We asked them all the nuts ‘n’ bolts’ questions about the job, so that you can see if it’s the right fit for you.

Why choose a career in family day care?

A career in family day care allows highly trained, experienced and nurturing Childhood Educators to provide education and care to children, plus it allows you to run your own business and forge your own career. It’s also a great option for Educators who are parents themselves and want to be able to earn an income while caring for their own children.

As a Coastwide Family Day Care Educator, you’ll get the opportunity to work from home caring for a small group of children while receiving support and training from a team of early childhood professionals.

Want to enrol your child in a local family day care?

If you’re looking for a daycare solution to suit your child’s individual needs, family daycare may be an excellent option.

A Team of Qualified Professionals

The Educators at Coastwide Family Day Care are qualified, experienced and dedicated to providing the best care for your child, with the full support and backing of a team of early childhood professionals.

Small Groups of Children

The number of non-school aged children is limited to four, which means Educators can focus on the individual interests, strengths and developmental needs of each child within a nurturing home environment.

This small group environment allows children and their families to cultivate strong relationships with their consistent and familiar Educator.

An Affordable and Flexible Day Care Option

Family daycare provides an affordable education and care service for families, attracting Child Care Subsidy which is assessed by the Department of Human Services.

Coastwide Family Day Care also offers additional flexibility compared to other care services. This means families can benefit from both standard and non-standard hours of service that cover weekdays, weekends, overnight or evenings. Plus, before and after school care is also available.

If family day care is of interest, you can visit the Coastwide Family Day Care website to search for vacancies – simply select your suburb to see a list of Educators in your local area.
