As of Tuesday 17 August 2021 the NSW Government website stipulates that people within Greater Sydney (which includes the Central Coast) can “exercise and take outdoor recreation within your local government area or, if you need to cross into another local government area, stay within 5km of your home.”

We know there has been a huge amount of confusion about this rule. We have been following this very closely and have been looking to the NSW Government website to get our information, and we’ve seen that the restrictions are getting tweaked and reworded ever so slightly very frequently (like every day these past couple of days), and this is creating a lot of confusion. Below is a screenshot of the NSW Government website at 12.30pm Tuesday 17 August 2021, but we recommend you head to the NSW Government website to be sure you’re seeing the latest information:

We know a lot of people are trying to limit how much of our LGA they travel around, so we’ve created this map so you can search for outdoor exercise options – including bike paths, running tracks, bushwalks, pump tracks, and skateparks – that are close to your home.

Stay safe and stay well.

Happy exercising!

  1. Enter your street address to the “Enter a Location” section.
  2. Hit the “Search” box.
  3. You can filter the distance to 5km, 10km, etc.
  4. If you’d then like to filter the results you get (i.e. the icons), go to the “Filter by” box and select bushwalks, or parks or anything else.
