Have you visited the new playground at Canton Beach Foreshore? If not, we recommend you add it to your to-do list, as a visit here is a beautiful way to while away an afternoon.

The new playground, located smack-bang on the Tuggerah Lake foreshore, offers uninterrupted views of this picturesque waterway. Parents, perched on sandstone blocks that double as seating and playground boundary, watch their young ones and take in the panorama.

The green and blue play equipment includes a group spinner, a group swing and a double swing set. A large climbing frame is the centrepiece and will challenge young ninjas. It’s quite advanced and best suited to kids 5+.

A nearby covered picnic table provides the perfect space for parents to watch, sit and chat, or there’s outdoor fitness equipment for those feeling active.

You’ll find public toilets (thankfully open) located about 50m along the bike path.

Forgot lunch or need a coffee? Hit up Beach Parade cafe for fish ‘n’ chips, coffees, and salads that can be eaten in or on the grass.
