Do your kids live and breathe LEGO? Here’s a bricktastic event that will fill the void while we wait for the next season of LEGO Masters.
Say hello to Brickman Cities powered by LEGO City at Sydney Tower Eye. It’s an exhibition created by none other than LEGO Masters judge, Ryan ‘The Brickman’ McNaught. In it you’ll get to explore iconic buildings of five amazing cities – Dubai, London, New York, Tokyo and Sydney. There are 20 models all up and they were created from 600,000 LEGO bricks!
Our favourite parts? Marvelling at the replica of Sydney Tower (made from a whopping 30,000 LEGO pieces), as well as the 3m x 4m model of Lower Manhattan, built entirely in white LEGO bricks. Tracing each city’s evolution from 1000AD until today is a lot of fun too.
Oh, and we can’t forget the entire wall that showcases the history of LEGO City, which includes City fire stations from decades ago!
Future pilots and engineers might also like to build their very own mini LEGO City helicopter, which is part of the exhibition’s ‘make and take’ experience – they cost $5.50.
Top tip: Nab yourself an inclusive Observation Deck Admission Ticket so you can kick back and watch a 4D LEGO movie, meet the awesome Emmet Brickowski from The LEGO Movie, and take home a bunch of colouring worksheets and activities.
When: The exhibition runs until July 11, 2021.
Where: Sydney Tower Eye, Level 5/108 Market St, Sydney.
Cost: Exhibition plus Sydney Tower Admit: $49.50, Exhibition Admit: $22.50, Exhibition plus Sydney Tower Junior Admit: $40.00
Age: Suitable for all ages.
