Ready Steady Go Kids Central Coast has been teaching children aged 18 months-6 years multi sports for the last 5 years. The Ready Steady Go Kids program is designed to introduce preschoolers to the fundamentals of 10 different sports (soccer, tennis, basketball, hockey, golf, AFL, rugby, athletics, cricket and T-ball). Each term, 5 sports are taught in 2 week blocks which is considered sufficient time to introduce and reinforce the basic concepts and motor patterns. By rotating the sports every 2 weeks we also decrease the likelihood of children becoming disinterested in a particular activity. Now, with the introduction of our GET READY toddler program, children as young as 18 months to 2.5/3 years can explore the 10 different sports that RSGK teach. GET READY is a semi-structured introduction to sports in a fun, exploration-based environment with modified equipment. The Ready Steady Go classes are aged from 2.5/3 years to 6 years of age and are age appropriate in the delivery of the program. Our new progressive program allows for the differences in ages and skills and teaches the children sporting skills in a fun, friendly, non-competitive environment whilst also learning listening, interaction with other adults and children, cognitive skills and lots more.
